Home Revision at Wellborn Cabinetry Plant in Oxford, Alabama

While on tour of the Wellborn Cabinet plant I saw this lift door style that is as functional as it is beautiful. Wellborn offers a quality, lifetime cabinet in thousands of style/finish combinations. While attending training at Wellborn to become certified as an 'Authorized Remodeler' I learned about the history and values of this family owned company. You may have seen their cabinets featured on HGTV. Just beautiful!

There was great turnout at the Home Show the other weekend. We saw promising signs that the economy may be improving in our area as many homeowners are getting excited to move forward on their home improvement projects.

Tile Design - Use The Same Tile to Cut Cost

A cost effective way to get a great look and still have detail - use all the same tile in different sizes and patterns. Here we used a 10 x 10 tile in Landscape Beach floors, shower walls and tub surround. Tile on floors was put on a diagonal and a 4 inch border along wall edges. Then using the 3 x 3s along tub surround for " accent piece" which continues into the shower. This accent is then repeated a second time at shoulder height and on shower floor. Shower was then finished with a 4 inch border. This is a great idea if you may be thinking about selling your home in the near future. Using a neutral tile gives you and any future home owner a wide range of color schemes to use.

Husband-and wife team John and Jaimie Jones of Home Revision, LLC had the solution: The popcorn texture was cleanly removed and the room was finished off with decorator colors, a new ceiling fan and textured carpet, all in tones of gold-wheat neutrals that transformed the space from bleak to inviting."

This classic bathroom has all the finishing touches. Natural stone accents are inset in a brick pattern layout on walls for shower and tub surround. Along with bronze metals helps bring this timeless look together. We added a little "jewlery" over the bath tub with a beautiful little chandelier.
